What is TMJ?

i cant open my mouth far-reaching enough to get through... when i yawn my jaw hurts... i have this last summer and be told i had tmj... i own it again.. what could be a remedy for this? What is TMJ?
It isn't something that really goes away. There are mouth guards available to wear while you sleep--ask your dentist, or you can find them surrounded by the pharmacy section at a store--this really help relax a lot of the rigidity in the jowl the next daylight.
it is more commonly referred to as lockjaw. It stands for Temporomandibular joint (syndrome)
TMJ communal disorders are medical problems related to the jaw common. The TMJ connects the lower jaw to the skull (temporal bone) beneath your ear. Certain facial muscles control chewing. Problems in this nouns can cause organizer and neck agony, a jaw explicitly locked in position or difficult to unscrew, problems biting, and popping sounds when you bite.
Anti-inflammatory pain medication such as aspirin or acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Motrin, Aleve) may ease the stomach-ache of TMJ.
Apply warm compresses on the nouns of pain. Home psychiatric therapy includes lower jaw movements, such as vent and closing the jaw from side to side. Try this after a heat compress is applied for 20 minutes. The lower jaw movements should be repeated 3-5 times a morning, 5 minutes continuously each time, for just about 2-4 weeks.
You will have to chomp through soft foods while these symptoms are present. A warm compress can give support to, I would apply one immediately. A folded washcloth is heat up water will work.
I matter with TMJ too...
