I would say be in motion out and invest in a waterpik, those things are awesome for getting food particle out your teeth and gums, but they work really well for getting particle out of braces. You can find them at Wal-mart, Walgreens, CVS and other stores, these are just the stores that I've see them sold at. I hope this helps.

There is dental floss designed to be used a short time ago for braces. I always get them from my orthodontist when I had braces, but you can buy them from any grocery store or pharmacy in a minute. They kind of look similar to pipe cleaners. It flosses and cleans very resourcefully, without the investment of a hose down pick.
