What is the best style to verbs my retainers?

I recently get two retainers for my teeth and I've been lying them both contained by my sink and filling the bottom of the sink near hot water mixed near Listerine and letting them soak like that. Is this hurtful my retainers? What is another way that I could verbs them without messing them up?What is the best style to verbs my retainers?

I recommend my patients use baking soda each day and then soak the retainer surrounded by denture cleaner about 2x a week [just use the cleaner longer than the directions say]. If you still mind a hard deposit building up on the plastic next soak them in vinegar until it softens or dissolves.
